NEWS

Despite the heavy rain that fell on December 14, the day of our Christmas covered dish dinner, we had a nice turnout of members along with several guests.  Fellowship Hall seemed cozy with the beautifully decorated tables and the wonderful array of food on the long serving table.  We soon forgot about the weather outside as we enjoyed the food and fellowship and the clever program that was  presented by Janet Steinle.  It was a pleasant way to end our year.  When we left, the rain was over and the sun was commencing to shine through the clouds.  And so we are starting another year together.  Our new president, Darlene Rosetta, presided over the executive meeting on Wednesday, January 11 and both afternoon circles met afterwards with a good attendance in each.  We remembered that last year our January meeting had to be cancelled because we had 6 or 7 inches of snow on the ground!  Our next meeting will be February 8.  This will be a general meeting during which we will be remembering our Prayer and Self Denial mission.  A collection will be taken in support of that ministry.
